I'm locked in print only the memory card? Are printers require special inks?

Most printers 4x6 and regular slots for cards and are less expensive than 4x6 printer.
They want $ 130 for a 4x6printer for my camera.
I bought an Epson CX5000 All-In-One Printer copeir, Scanner for $ 80. Prints 4x6 photos without having to connect to the computer and accepts most memory cards too.
